We are seeking an R&D Chemist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that takes pride in producing high quality products that support their consumers overall health.
Pay: 60K-85K DOE
Location: Charleston, SC
Schedule: M-F 1 st shift
Type of Job: Direct Hire
Functions:
Assist with formulations and development of new color shades under laboratory and sales projects per customer needs.
Process Optimization and development of formulations.
Assist and support in the correction and reprocessing of defective batches.
Answering of customer requests in coordination with the superior and the sales department.
Create, measure and support of color samples.
Maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments.
General administrative tasks in the lab.
Initiate and review technical data sheets.
Initiate and follow up of necessary actions regarding EHS compliance.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry or other science related field.
Minimum of 2 years working within the paint/coatings industry
Formulations of Automotive coatings is a plus!
SAP ERP experience highly preferred.
