Our client, a leader in the supply chain industry, is looking for an entry level buyer to join their team!
Pay : $22-$25/hr
Responsibilities
Review incoming purchase requisitions for routine purchases and contracts
Identify approved suppliers; obtain quotes (RFQ's) for competitive bidding
Generate Purchase Orders, and provide all required PO follow up
As approved by senior management, in support of business plans and strategic objectives to meet annual company goals
Understand sales purchasing requirements
Learn procurement basics and ethics
Develop accurate purchase orders
Analyze requisitions and resolve issues
Contact suppliers for pricing and terms
Administer purchase orders, collaborate with Supply Chain team
Assist suppliers with delivery and quality, resolve procurement issues
Monitor supplier compliance, guide internal customers
Requirements
High School Diploma
Fantastic communication skills
A continuous improvement mindset and the willingness to learn and grow.
Most importantly you will be passionate about the companies values and exceeding customer expectations
