Contract: 3-12 months

Night Shift: 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM Sun-Thursday rotating weekends and holidays.

Day shift: 11 AM - 3:30 PM rotating weekends

Pay: 25-35 (Depending on experience)

Job Description:

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshoot problems as needed.

  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

  • Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.

  • Assist with specimen processing when required.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent as per local regulatory CLIA/State requirements.

  • 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.

  • State Medical Technologist license as required (specified in job requirements).

  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required as per job specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
