Contract: 3-12 months
Night Shift: 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM Sun-Thursday rotating weekends and holidays.
Day shift: 11 AM - 3:30 PM rotating weekends
Pay: 25-35 (Depending on experience)
Job Description:
Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Make technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshoot problems as needed.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with specimen processing when required.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent as per local regulatory CLIA/State requirements.
0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
State Medical Technologist license as required (specified in job requirements).
ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required as per job specifications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficient computer skills; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
