Hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Technician (EHS) to work with a CDMO focusing on conscious science for sustainable ingredients used within personal care and household products!
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: M-F Normal business hours
Pay: $75K-$85K DOE
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Stay updated on new and changing regulations and implement necessary changes to company policies and procedures.
Conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits.
Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to minimize accidents and injuries.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
Ensure all staff are adequately trained in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Lead investigations into EHS incidents and near-misses.
Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and initiatives, including emergency response plans, hazardous materials management, and waste reduction strategies.
Track and report on key EHS metrics.
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices. Lead initiatives to enhance the company’s EHS culture and performance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, training records, and incident reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
3 years of experience in an EHS role, 1-2 years of experience within Chemical manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001
Experience with Process Safety Management
Experience Wastewater Treatment
